He is survived by: his son David Klaus of Burlington; his stepdaughters, Julia Phelps of Houston and Amanda Smith of Burlington; his grandchildren, David Klaus and Abygail Klaus; his stepgranddaughters, Julia, Olivia, Hannah and Savannah; and his siblings, Sylvia Ridinger of Trenton, Zanythe Wibstud of Trenton, Iowa and Steve Klaus of Danville, Iowa. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
