It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Charlene L Gerst (Burlington, Iowa), born in Morris, Minnesota, who passed away on October 15, 2024, at the age of 62, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Donald Bill and Della Ruby Luthi (Metzger); her husband Charles D. Gerst of Morning Sun; her daughter-in-law Anna; her grandson Isaiah (Mother Della Luthi) of Vail, Arizona; her siblings, Sheryl Luthi of Egan, Bradley Luthi (Danette) of Gretna and Galen Luthi of Morris, Minnesota; her niece Claire Luthi; her nephew Gavin Luthi; and her daughter Janella Zimmerman.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established to Southeast Iowa Regional Hospice House.
