He was predeceased by: his sister Sherry Lee Mendez. He is survived by: his parents, Merle Mendez and Carlene Mendez; his wife Cindy Brougham; and his children, Mercedes Mendez of Buffalo and Harold "Bryan" Lewis of Buffalo. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
