He was predeceased by: his parents, Ubbe Heyes and Marie Minnie Heramina Heyes (Balvance); his sister Lucille; his brothers-in-law, Roger Radtke and Keith Hagenson; his parents-in-law, John and Ann Abels; and his sister-in-law Janet Abels.

He is survived by: his wife Doris of Buffalo Center; his children, Larry (Kathy Gjerstad) and Pamela Sue Swenson (Brent) of Buffalo Center; his grandchildren, Brady Swenson (Stephanie) of Mason City, Kady Heyes (Darren Brown) of Blue Earth, MN, Chelsey Swenson (Admir) of North Liberty, IA and Brandi VanReese (Noah) of Hanlontown, IA; and his great grandchildren, Ameliya, Grayson Brown, Vera VanReese and Sawyer Swenson. He is also survived by many other nieces and nephews and family members.

A face covering will be mandated for all of those attending and social distancing will be enforced.
