He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Alphs and Pearl Alphs (Willert); his wife Janet Alphs; his parents-in-law, Joseph and Irene Brooks; his sisters, Evelyn Cooper (Gene), Ann Buchanan (Ted), Winnie Williams (Ray), Phyllis Bellard (Stanley) and Sharon; and his brother-in-law Ott Smith.
He is survived by: his children, Cheryll Schmidt (Roger) and Mark Alphs (Tami); his grandsons, Adam Schmidt (Steph), Ben Schmidt (Jen), Luke Schmidt and Christopher Alphs (Lucia); his great grandchildren, Lauren Fiesel (Cristina), Elizabeth Schmidt, Brendan, Alexa, Madi, Max Schmidt, Kai and Lila Schmidt; his great great grandchild Nora Fiesel; his siblings, Ronald Alphs (Ruby), Sandy Steenblock (Doug) and Wanda Fayard (Gary); his parents-in-law, Jean Harty, Richard Brooks, Jean Brooks and Elle Smith; and his aunt Emma Knapper. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Masks are required and social distancing guidelines will be followed.
