She was predeceased by: her parents, Herman Schmidt and Laura Schmidt (Wahl); her husband John Jr.; her son Leland; and her sisters, Luella Schmidt, Marcella Braun and Luetta Walk.
She is survived by: her children, Terri Johnson (Gary) of Elmore, MN, Sheila UIfers (Doug) of Corvallis, OR, Leigh Murra of Forest City, IA, Harold Murra (Martha) of White House, TN and Joy Gelhaus (Robby) of Lakota, IA; her grandchildren, John Johnson, Jana Johnson, Kate Ulfers, Amanda Bailey (Jamie), Jeramiah Murra (Tiffany), Shane Gelhaus (Rebecca), Samantha Matson (Ben) and Hunter Gelhaus; her great grandchildren, Payton Johnson, Frances Bailey, Everleigh Murra, Drake, Kenley Gelhaus and Baby Boy Matson; and her sister Rosalyn Allen of Marshalltown, IA. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
