He was predeceased by: his parents, Heiko Bruns and Amanda Bruns (Franzen); his wife Sandie; and his siblings, Alfred, Marvella Post (Art) and Troyce Post (Erwin).
He is survived by: his former wife Sandra Watson; his daughters, LeAnn Bruns of Ankeny, IA, Cindy Hoover (Greg) of Johnston, IA, Wendy Harms (Brad) of Titonka, IA and Patricia Hassebroek (Travis) of Buffalo Center, IA; his grandchildren, Melissa Hemesath (Scott), Mitchell Hoover, Megan Ratcliff (Nick), Lindsay Haugland (Zach), Weston Harms (Shelby), Owen Harms, Nicolas Hassebroek and Paige Milbrandt (Mark); his great grandchildren, Elliott, Crosby Hemesath, Charlotte, Miles Haugland, Kinsley Harms and Ratcliff; his sister Amanda Bruns of Titonka, IA; and his siblings-in-law, Elizabeth Hasty of Mason City, IA and Steve Watson (Ann) of Urbandale, IA. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials will be directed by the family to benefit several community causes that were important to LeRoy.
