It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joseph Berschman of Buffalo Center, Iowa, born in Lakota, Iowa, who passed away on September 6, 2020, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Heyo Berschman and Flora Berschman (Schaefer); his brother John; his sister-in-law Jane Berschman; his sister Ruth; his brother-in-law Donald Clapper; his sister Kay; his brother-in-law Gene Newel; and his nephews, Brian Newel, Ronald Berschman and Duane Ruby.
He is survived by: his wife Dorothy; his children, Steven Berschman (Jill) of Lakota, IA and Kristy Skoglund (Mike) of Urbandale, IA; his grandchildren, Marcus Berschman of Clive, IA, Andy Skoglund of Richfield, MN, Carrie Arndorfer (Burke) of Bancroft, IA, Jenna Berschman and Sarah Skoglund of Des Moines, IA; his great grandchild Jade Arndorfer of Bancroft; and his parents-in-law, Betty Johnson of Northwood, IA, Delores Rinden of Joice, IA and Jim Ruby of Forest Hill, LA. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
Social distancing practices will be followed, and MASKS WILL BE REQUIRED.
In lieu of flowers, the family would request that donations be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation of America in Joe's name.
