He is survived by: his brothers, Excavating, Asmus Farm Supply and Farms; his wife Cheri Kester of Buffalo Center; his daughter Rachel Rognes (Jeremy) of Lake Mills; his grandchildren, Brynn and Calvin Rognes; his daughter Kimberly Scott (Rob) of Mason City; his grandsons, Wesley and Spencer Scott; his son Levi Kester (Amanda) of Gulf Breeze, FL; his grandchildren, Noah, Charlee and Saylor Kester; his son Justin Kester (Michelle) of Lake Mills; his grandchildren, Millie and Jude Kester; his children, Jordan Mayland (Lindsay) of Des Moines and Holly Ruter (Ryan) of Clear Lake; his grandchildren, Bentley, Kora and Maria Mayland of Des Moines; his brothers, LeRoy Kester (Susan) of Story City and Ronald Kester (Beverly) of Greene; and his siblings-in-law, Mark Winter (Carol), Don Winter (Joan) and Marlene Winter. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
