She was predeceased by: her parents, Lauren Thompson and Goldie Thompson (Steele); her grandchild Abbi; her husband George Wempen; her siblings, Harold, Everett, Raymond, Howard, Glen and Dorothy Vodraska; her daughter-in-law Diane Wempen; and her granddaughter Alicea Wempen.
She is survived by: her children, Later, Duane (Trish) of Stratford, IA, Dale (Janet) of Fairmont, MN, Eugene of Humboldt, IA, Rodney (LeAnn) of LuVerne, IA, Diane (Gary Boyken) of Titonka, IA and George Jr. (Jennifer) of Buffalo Center, IA.; her grandchildren, Chad, Ned, Kevin, Laurelee, Dave, Jody, Derek, Brad, Ryan, Stephanie, Ashley, Coy and Jace; and her siblings, Eldon, Roger, Larry, Ruth Harringa, Janice Winter and Sharon Burt. She is also survived by 38 great grandchildren, step grandchildren and step great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews as well as extended family members and many friends.
