He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Michaelson and Irma Michaelson (Friesenborg); his brother Larry; and his parents-in-law, Edgar and Jennie Ricks.
He is survived by: his wife Elaine Ricks of Buffalo Center; his daughters, Amy Igou (Pat) of Cedar Falls, IA and Lori Bertram (Matt) of Buffalo Center; his brother Jerry of Forest City; his siblings-in-law, Donna Michaelson of Rochester, MN and Ron Ricks of Buffalo Center; his brothers, Harry (Delores Phipps) and Ed (Judy Ricks); and also Eleanor Murray. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
