It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gerald F. Jost of Bryant, Iowa, born in Clinton, Iowa, who passed away on September 23, 2021, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Mathias "Ferd" and Anna Jost (Wagemester); his stepmother Ida Jost (Wagemester); his grandson Shawn Patrick Jost; and his siblings, Raymond Jost and Dorothy Quinlan.
He is survived by: his grandsons, Steve Jost, Nathan Good and Patrick Hall; his wife Marilyn Jost (Eggers) of Bryant, IA; his children, David Jost (Julianne) of Bryant, IA, Dennis Jost (Jane) of Ankeny, IA and Debra Larsen (Wayne) of Elm Grove, WI; his grandchildren, Brian Jost (Melissa), Kelly Good (Nathan), Matthew Jost (Becky), Stephen Jost (Erin), Sarah Hall (Patrick), Paul Larsen (Danielle) and Evan Larsen (AJ Avedon); his great grandchildren, Ethan, Kate, Connor, Adelia, Lauren, Theo, Lila, Lennon, Marlie Jo, Remy and Rowan; his sister Betty Jost of Clinton; his cousin Gregg Crawford; and also Libbie Crawford. He is also survived by three nieces and a nephew.
