She was predeceased by: her parents, Karlis Bumbiers and Emilija Bumbiers; and her brother Eric Bumbiers. She is survived by: her husband Jekabs; her children, Ingrid Dreimann of Grand Junction, CO, Theodor Lielkoks (Susan) of Grand Junction, CO and Kristine Marks of North Liberty, IA; her grandchildren, Erin Miller (Blake), Andrea Lielkoks, Finja Dreimann, Sydney Marks and Anika Dreimann; her sisters-in-law, Anna Kancitis and Ilga Mouchka; and her grandson Morgan Dreimann.
Velta was a staple at the Minneapolis Latvian church and participated in a charity quilting club.
