It is with great sadness that we announce the death of David Eugene Kester of Brooklyn, Iowa, born in Grinnell, Iowa, who passed away on May 30, 2022, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Morris Kester and Mildred Kester (Grovenburg); his sons, Eddie and David; his wife Irene Onthank; and his sister Betty Taylor (Marvin).
He is survived by: his daughter Carla Sue Kester; his grandchildren, Candace Kriegel of Brooklyn and Cody Guyer (Sam); his great grandchildren, Alexis Timm, Bryanna Timm, Rachelle Timm, Scarlett Kriegel, Jentri Kriegel and Stetson Kriegel; and his brother Frank Kester (Patty) of Grinnell. He is also survived by many other friends and relatives.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Brooklyn Community Estates Activities Department.
