He was predeceased by: his parents, James Tlach and Mary Tlach (Wellik); his son-in-law Robert Murphy; and his sister Emily Rayhons (Leonard). He is survived by: his uncle Charlie; his wife Betty Hejlik of Britt; and his children, Irene Murphy of Clear Lake, Edwin Tlach (Marian) of Indianola, Ray Tlach (Kathy) of Britt, Rita Madson (Terry) of Garfield, AR, Monica Olsen (Randy) of Garner, Jerry Tlach (Carol) of Britt, Marge Rasmuson (Kelly) of Ankeny and Karen Daniels (John) of Webster City. He is also survived by 20 grandchildren; 31 great grandchildren; and a niece and nephew.
