She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Kemmerick and Elizabeth Kemmerick (Fluech); her husband Virgil Chizek; her son Dan Chizek; and her siblings, Marcella Adams, Pauline Hofmeister, Joe Kemmerick, Bernard Kemmerick, Leona Brandeau and Lucille Tanner.
She is survived by: her children, Virginia Schene (Tony) of Colorado Springs, Margaret Fenlon (Warren) of Rochester and David Chizek of Britt; her grandchildren, Bryce Fenlon (Fanni) of Budapest, Miranda Schene of Iowa City, Monica Fenlon of Rochester, Rachel Chizek of Luck and Ashley Chizek of Luck, Wisconsin; her sister Florence Gerk; and also Christy Rossiter of Mason City. She is also survived by extended family members and friends.
In lieu of flowers and customary remembrances, Dorothy's family suggests that memorial donations be made to the American Diabetes Association or the American Heart Association.
