He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl and Hannah Tegtmeyer (Amerson); his wife Anna Folkerts; his siblings, Frances Swanson, Kenneth and Harvey Tegtmeyer; and his brothers-in-law, Roger Brady and Lawrence Swanson.
He is survived by: his children, Karen Tegtmeyer of Johnston, IA, Larry Tegtmeyer (Kathy) of Wichita Falls, TX and Diane Tegtmeyer of Urbandale; his grandchildren, Megan, Andrew and Matthew Tegtmeyer; and his siblings, Arlene Gerdis of Colorado Springs, CO, Doreen Felder of Florida, Sonja Brady of Garner and Ervin Tegtmeyer (Connie) of Woden. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
