He was predeceased by: his parents, Glen Scroggin and Lucille Scroggin (Lee); his sister Bettie; his brother-in-law Darwin Yates; his brother Ronald; his sister-in-law Jeanette Scroggin; his parents-in-law, Fred and Clara Bahls; and his siblings-in-law, Frank, Mildred Hoare and Viola Bahls.

He is survived by: his wife Norma Bahls; and his children, Douglas of Ewing, NJ, Dana (Karen) of Sioux City, IA, Dodd (Mary) of Hereford, TX, Donald (Kay) of Van Meter, IA and Doreen of Kansas City.
