It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dorothy Ann Stone of Brighton, Iowa, born in Iowa City, Iowa, who passed away on April 2, 2021, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her mother Nellie Cook (McNeese); her siblings, Marie Norris (Cook) and George Cook; and her grandson Jeffrey Jones. She is survived by: her stepfather Ira Rich; her husband Harold Stone; her daughters, Deb Akins (Dennis) of Marshalltown and Diane Jones (Steve) of Ames; her grandsons, Doug Akins (Katie) of Bettendorf, Dan Jones (Anja) of Chesterfield, Mike Jones (Megan) of Ankeny and Ben Jones (Daranda) of Overland Park, Kan.; and her great grandchildren, Addison, Paisley Akins, Amalia, Alex, Liam, Alida, Greta, Cleo and Prue Jones.
