James Bragonier wrote a sympathy message

“Carole Ann Fischer and I express our heartfelt sadness over Carole Christner's death. I was three years old when Aunt Fran brought Carole Frances from the hospital. I felt that my six-year-old brother, Bob, and I had lost a playmate as Aunt Fran moved on to be a mother. Soon Carole Frances was the ring-leader, activities dir., and chief explorer for visits to the compound on West 19 St. , Cedar Falls. Carole was highly verbal, active, creative, inquisitive, and inventive! She'll be missed!”
