He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Rogers and Lela Rogers (Bailey); his wife Della "Darlene" Forrester; his grandson Joshua; and his siblings, Donald and LaVonne Young.
He is survived by: his children, Dale Rogers (Sandy) of Brandon, Dean Rogers (Cathy) of Oelwein, Dave Rogers (Diane) and Darla Rose (Rick) of Oelwein. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; twenty great grandchildren.
