He was predeceased by: his parents, John Erger and Dorothy A. Erger (Schlotterbeck); his son Tony Erger; and his sister Darlene Shetler. He is survived by: his wife Mary D. Gates; his children, Garry Erger (Peg) of Independence, IA, Barb Albert of Brandon, IA, Mary Jo Wonnacott (Jim) of Norfolk, NE and Donald Erger of Brandon, IA; and his siblings, Donna Wetzel of Cedar Rapids, IA, Marlys Stuffen of Cedar Rapids, IA, Julia McDonald of Boulder, CO, Earl Erger (Yvonne) of Brandon, IA, Harold Erger (Betty) of Center Point, IA and Bill Erger of Princeton, MO. He is also survived by ten grandchildren, twenty-nine great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
