With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Dixie L. Joens of Brandon, Iowa, born in Anamosa, Iowa, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 20, 2024. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Lee Bumgarner and Ruby Loraine Bumgarner (Ireland); and her brother Bill Bumgarner. She is survived by: her husband George Joens, Jr. of Brandon; her sons, Aaron Joens (Susan) of Waterloo, IA, Robert Joens (Cindy) of Gilmore City, IA and Jeffrey Joens (Donita) of Decorah, IA; and her siblings, Dyna, Rocky, Darrin, Keith and Jim. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren.
