She was predeceased by: her parents, Edwin Armstrong and Delores Armstrong of Hazelton, Iowa.; and her brother Gary. She is survived by: her husband John Edward Lappe; her sons, John G. Lappe of Waterloo and Marc Lappe (Jill) of Independence; and her granddaughters, Molly Lappe of Cedar Falls, Sara Lappe of Independence and Mariah Lappe of St Cloud, Minnesota..
