He is survived by: his wife LaDonna Mae Hoksbergen of Boyden; his children, Jessica and Kyle Lems of Doon; his grandchildren, Maya, Owen and Kaleb; his children, Krista and Tyler Van Der Brink of Doon; his grandchildren, Brody, Blake, Beau and Billy; his children, Kelsey and Jack Ver Burg of Rock Valley; his grandchildren, Jay, Ben and Penny; his children, Trevor, Rachel Van Den Top of Rapid City, Vanessa and Justin Kooima of Sheldon; his grandchildren, Sadie and Reggie; his mother Gertrude Van Den Top (Van Bemmel) of Hull; his sisters, Viola (Alan De Boer) and Lavonne (Steve Abma); his parents-in-law, Henry, Jane Hoksbergen of Hull, Bonnie, Kevin Van Engen of Hull, Lisa, Dave De Boer of Boyden, Shawn and Josh Visser of Byron Center, Michigan; and also, Lorna and Todd Goeldner of Urbandale. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
