With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Dean Schmith (Boyden, Iowa), who passed away on February 19, 2019 at the age of 78. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Schmith and Amy Schmith (Techen); his brothers, Dale Schmith and Wesley Schmith; his sister-in-law Connie Schmith; his grandson Ross Radell Schmith; and his great grandchild Destiny Joy Schmith.
He is survived by: his spouses, LaDonna Harms and LaDonna Schmith; his children, Ron Schmith (Marla), Ricky Schmith (Sandy), Randy Schmith (Janet), Lisa Vander Pol (Gary), Ryan Schmith (Britney) and Roger Schmith (Shayla Van Meeteren); his grandchildren, Robbie Schmith, Sarah Avery (Matt Rabel, Mike), Kristie Keizer, Katie Schmith, Andrea Schmith, Cody Schmith, Preston Schmith, Brennan Schmith, Kale Schmith, Cassandra Vogt, Krystal Van Otterloo, Jaime Adame, Austin Staples, Sophia Schmith, Deacon Schmith, Natilie Schmith and Oliver Schmith; his siblings, Ken Schmith (Rosalie) and Lila Hatting; and his sister-in-law Elizabeth Schmith. He is also survived by 22 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, family wish memorials which will be directed to charity at a later date.
