She was predeceased by: her parents, Morris Boyle and Lela Boyle (Willison); her husband John Malmquist; her brothers, Robert and Jerry Boyle; and her brother-in-law Frank Hayes.

She is survived by: her sons, David (Ruth) of Prairie City, Steven of Nevada and Richard (Deidre) of Stanhope; her grandchildren, Nolan Malmquist and Allison Dop (Matthew); her great grandchildren, McKenzie, Cooper and Owen Dop; her sister Coleen Hayes of Urbandale; and her sister-in-law Ava Boyle. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
