He is survived by: his children, Andrew Modlin (Lila) of Bouton, IA and Abbey Modlin (John Logan McManus); his grandsons, Rylan and Layne Modlin of Bouton, IA; his sister Jane Knudtson (Randy); his siblings-in-law, Jerry Fouch (Shirley) and Karen Berkland (Dale) of Winterset, IA; his close friend Rhonda Shoafstall of Bouton, IA; and his pet Tipper.
