It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Robert E. Uthe (Boone, Iowa), who passed away on March 26, 2025, at the age of 101, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Robert E. Uthe to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John Uthe and Elizabeth Uthe (Mott) of Boone; his wife Pauline Lawler of John's Catholic Church; his siblings, Paul, George, Catherine Cezek and Rita Voss; and his great grandchild Arthur Richard Peter.
He is survived by: his children, David Uthe of Boone, Richard Uthe of Ames, Bruce Uthe (Michelle) of Ogden, Joann Uthe of Boone and Diana McLaren (Rob) of Omaha, NE; his sister Mary Wirth of Ames; and his sister-in-law Kate Uthe of Boone. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 1st 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church (915 12th St, Boone, IA 50036). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Tuesday, April 1st 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:45 AM at the same location. A Mass was held on Tuesday, April 1st 2025 at 11:45 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to either Church of the Sacred Heart or Habitat for Humanity.
