He was predeceased by: his parents, George Fredrick and Margaret Irene Ahrens (Stevens); his siblings, Richard Ahrens and Janice Neese (James); and his grandson-in-law Brian Lage.
He is survived by: his children, Lou Ann Ahrens of Ames, IA, Deborah Ahrens of Ames, IA and Mike Ahrens (Jill) of Ogden, IA; his grandchildren, Mikael Lage, Stephon Ahrens (Cassie), Amber Anderson (Ben), Caden Pooley, Caleb Pooley and Anakin Larson; his great grandchildren, Ivan Logue, Clark Lage, Julia Lage, Calleigh Ahrens, Brantley Ahrens, Izlee Ahrens, Haylie Anderson, Tina Anderson, Aiden Anderson, Bryson Anderson, Bella Anderson and Hank Anderson; his sister Joyce Myers of Boone, IA; and his sister-in-law Martha "Toby" Ahrens. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
A celebration of life was held on Tuesday, January 14th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Carson Funeral Home (601 W Division St, Ogden, IA 50212).
