He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Martin and Etta Martin (Elsberry); and his siblings, Gerald, Raymond, Albert, Wallace, Maxine and Diane.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Joyce Will of Boone; his children, Todd Martin of Dexter, Rodney Martin (Cindi) of Garden City and Joni Nollen (Russell) of Roland; his grandchildren, Kevin, Kelly, Kasey, Wesley, Laura, Shaunacey and Layk; and his siblings, Alice Whittlesey of Boone, Hazel Peterson of Boone and William Martin (Gerrie) of Boone. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
As a precaution against the Delta variant of COVID-19, the family requests all in attendance to wear a mask.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be directed to the Augustana Lutheran Church in Boone or the Bethany Life Chaplaincy in Story City.
