He was predeceased by: his father Larry Reed; and his grandparents, Herman, Violet Hasstedt, Mearl and Ada Reed.
He is survived by: his mother Mary Ann Reed (Hasstedt) of Boone; his former wife Marcia Mayse; his sons, Ross Reed (Megan) of Ogden and Patrick Reed of Boone; his grandson Winston Reed; his sister Jean Loper (Ted) of Indiana; his niece Violet Short (Grant); his great-nieces and great-nephews, Harlow, Emery and Spencer; the mother of his children Marcia Mayse; his aunts, Betty Bill (Ray) and D. Violette; and also Nathan Loper. He is also survived by numerous cousins and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be directed to the family or to St. Paul's Lutheran Church.
