As Marlin departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Marlin may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Marlin leaves behind.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Lester R. Johnson and Irene Patterson Johnson of Stratford. He is survived by : his wife Claudia Jean Davidson of Boone; his sons, Steve (Odette Tan) of Austin, Texas and Eric (Emily); his grandsons, Mason and Miller of Ft. Worth, Texas; and his siblings, Paul of Aurora, Larry (Karon) of Harrison, Arkansas and Elaine (Tim) of Port Matilda. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, June 26th 2024 at 9:00 AM at the South Marion United Methodist Church (1392 390th St, Stratford, IA 50249). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, June 26th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
