He is survived by: his parent Calvin Stone; his friend Julia Ewing; his wife Julia of Boone; his children, Kim Stone of Austin and Jeff Stone (Jessica) of Asheville; his mother Ruth Stone of Sioux Falls; his sons, Jake Gibbons of Madrid and Jeremiah Gibbons of Switzerland; his grandchildren, Hayley Fuller of Madrid, Braden Gibbons of Madrid and Macy Gibbons of Madrid; his siblings, Marla Dawson (Mark) of Sioux Falls, Paul Stone (Sylvia) of Blue Springs, Matt Stone (Jill Johnson) of Boone, Ben Stone of Des Moines and Cara Stone of Ames; and also Maggie Stone of Boone. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews.
