She was predeceased by: her husband Everett Lee Long; and her brother David Miller. She is survived by: her children, Gary Long of Davenport, IA, James Long (Gabriela) of Mound, MN, Katherine Jane Workman of Boone, IA, JoEllen Long of Boone, IA and Mary Long of Boone, IA; her grandchild Ryan Workman of Ames, IA; her children, Kara Jane Barnes (Ryan) of Grimes, IA, Michael Workman of Des Moines, IA and Kyle Workman (Beth) of Seaford, DE; her great grandchild Kadence Jane Barnes; her sister Carol Hopkins Pyeatt of Springfield, MO; her nieces, Mary Tappemeyer (Greg) of Springfield, MO, Sandy Call of Springfield, MO and Marti Jane Ashcraft (Tim) of Cumming, GA; and her nephew Curt Hopkins (Karina) of Longmont, CO. She is also survived by many extended family members and special friends.

Memorials may be directed to the First Presbyterian Church in Boone, Special Olympics Iowa, or other charities of the giver's discretion.
