He was predeceased by: his father Lawrence Dean Nystrom; his brother Cris Nystrom; and his granddaughter Lucy Sue Ferguson. He is survived by: his mother Charlene Jennings Nystrom; his children, Emilee Nystrom Ferguson (Jason) and Kristofferson O. Nystrom (Katie); his grandchildren, Lily of Boone, Neely Ferguson of Boone and Brogan Wood of Boone; his wife Pam of Jefferson; and his siblings, Sue Nystrom (Tom Inman), Curt Nystrom (Lori), Paula Goldsworth (Dan) and Jerry Nystrom (Melanie). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
