She is survived by: her mother Judy Denato (Briggie) of Ames, IA; her stepmother Becky Lyon Aspengren of Boone, IA; her sister Lynette Peterson of Jefferson, IA; her stepsister Melissa Jacobson of Riverside, IA; her nieces and nephews, Hannah, Victoria, Chance Peterson of Jefferson, IA, Emily Gray of Sloan, IA, Nathan and Carrie Jacobson of Riverside, IA; and her aunts, Edie Samuelson (Rod) of Johnston, IA and Joann Sargent (Dick) of Fountain Hills, AZ..

Due to COVID-19, a private family graveside service will be held at the Ames Municipal Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Boone Area Humane Society.
