She was predeceased by: her parents, Fred Long and Mable Long (Forsberg); her husband Jim; her daughter-in-law Jean McVicker; and her brothers, Dale Leon Long and Larry Long.
She is survived by: her children, Jim McVicker, Janice Swedlund (Mark) of Fort Meyers, FL, Julie Herrstrom (Tim) of Luther and Jerry McVicker (Cindy) of Ames; her grandchildren, Matthew McVicker (Stacy), Danielle Murphy (Joel), Haley Swedlund (Malte Lierl), Mallory Riggs (Ryan), Nic McVicker (Lisa), Abby McVicker, Bailey Erskine (Walker), Troy Kruse (Tammy) and Michele Latterell (Scott); her siblings, Lois Danielson of Ellsworth and Lonnie Long (Sandra); and her sister-in-law Joyce McVicker. She is also survived by 18 great grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be directed to the First United Methodist Church, American Legion Auxiliary or the VFW Auxiliary.
