He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonard Hedlund and Lois Wood; his son David Hedlund; and his grandson David James Hedlund. He is survived by: his wife Carol of Boone; and his sons, Jeff Hedlund (Jeanette) of Nevada and Gary Hedlund of Des Moines. He is also survived by seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
