He was predeceased by: his sister Charlotte Mitchell; and his daughter-in-law Pam Walter (Bruce). He is survived by: his wife Maureen Vaughan Walter; and also Ruthe Kombrink. He is also survived by six children and their spouses: Gerry Walter (Becky), Carol Walsh (Ian), Bruce Walter, Dan Walter (Margie), Mark Walter (Christine) and Catherine Herring (Brian), 12 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
