She was predeceased by: her parents, William Abbott and Margaret Abbott (Horne); her husband Loren Ely; her son Lathen Ely; her grandson Jared Ely; her in-laws, Earl and Evelyn Ely; and her siblings, Bob, Alex, Don Abbott and Catherine Pervier.
She is survived by: her daughters, Debi Pestotnik (Tim) and Lori Walters (Jim); her grandchildren, Heather Aspengren, Cory Pestotnik (Robin), Maggie Pestotnik (Tom), Cris Ely, Sarah Benge (Mark), Marci Baker, Rachel Taylor (John), Chelsey Mann (Terry), Taria Dillion and Zach Ely (Liz Laube); and her brother Ed Abbott (Helen). She is also survived by 17 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson.
A prayer will be held on Saturday, March 8th 2025 from 1:30 PM to 2:00 PM at the Westhaven Chapel (112 W 4th St, Boone, IA 50036). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, March 8th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the same location.
