We are sad to announce that on September 25, 2021 we had to say goodbye to John E. Nelson of Boone, Iowa, born in Duluth, Minnesota. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John Edgar Nelson, Sr. and Helen Henry Nelson; his sister Mary Kohlsaat; his wife Jo; and his son John Heinrich Nelson.
He is survived by: his children, Ann Nelson Borwick (Ron) of Johnston, IA, Ward Nelson (Rhonda) of Boone, IA and Julie Nelson (Kay Angermann) of Austin, TX; his daughter-in-law Michelle Ahrens (Jeffrey) of Stratford, IA; his grandchildren, Luke, Joel Borwick, Sarah Chown, Ian, Eric Nelson, Jessica Nelson and Carly Weiss; and his great grandchildren, Cael and Kenzie Chown.
Face masks will be required for those attending the visitation or memorial service.
Memorial contributions may be made in Jack's name to Boone County.
