He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Beckett and Josephine Beckett (Eckley); his wife Pam; his sons, Jay Brent Beckett and Tad Spencer Beckett; and his siblings, Bev Turner (Jim) and Jerry Beckett.
He is survived by: his son Blake Beckett (Rachael) of Boone; his grandchildren, Julianne Jo Beckett, Jaibrenna Beckett, Hailey Beckett, Kayla Beckett and Charly Beckett; his sister Barb Sturms (Jim) of Muscatine; and his close friend JoAnn Hicks.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Boone County 4H Horse Committee.
