She was predeceased by: her parents, John Kenneth and Genevieve Walters (Lowrey); her husband Ray Dean Hopkins; and her sisters, Phyllis McCormick, Charlotte Benshoff and Linda Hodges.
She is survived by: her children, Darcy Bosch (Dwight) of Boone, Tim Hopkins (Lori) of Boone and Jean Cartee (Randy) of Boone; her grandchildren, Angie Kruse (Scott), Kristin Foss (Joe), Kyle Bosch (Shannon), Amy Eckard (Jamie), Aleesha Angstrom (Kyle), Tyler Cartee (Kelli) and Mason Cartee; and her siblings, Kenneth Paul Walters (Mary Jane) of Ogden, Thomas Walters (Karla) of Boone and Beverly Kathman (Randy) of Ogden. She is also survived by 14 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 6th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Schroeder-Reimers Memorial Chapel (1006 6th St, Boone, IA 50036). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, April 7th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:15 AM at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church (915 12th St, Boone, IA 50036).
