He is survived by: his sister Jane; his former wife Margaret Carpenter; his children, Dave (Mary Pepper) of Boone and Katie (Al Kole) of Ames; his spouse Janiet Platter Carman; his grandsons, Tom of Ames and Jim of Ames; his stepdaughter Terrie (Rich Hadaway); and his siblings, Joan Kerrigan of West Covina, CA and Bill Pepper of Westhaven Community. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be directed to the Eastern Star Masonic Home in Boone.
