He was predeceased by: his parents, Clark Mackey and Alma Mackey (Manny); his wife Donna Marie Schroeder; his brother Milford Mackey; and his son Richard.
He is survived by: his children, Gary Mackey (Pat) of Boone, IA, LaDonna Osborn (Dave) of Boone, IA and Dan Mackey (Ali) of Clear Lake, IA; his grandchildren, Darlene Rockenbach (Mark) of St. Charles, MO, Douglas Osborn of Boone, IA, Theresa Skrien (Parrish) of Nicollet, MN, Julie Hull (Joe) of Boone, IA, Erin Craig (Josh) of Waukee, IA, Sarah Talken (Curt) of Merriam, KS, Greg Mackey (Kim) of Stanhope, IA and Marcus Mackey (Gabrielle) of Rochester, MN; and his sister-in-law Margaret Mackey of Guttenberg, IA. He is also survived by eleven great-grandchildren.
