She was predeceased by: her parents, William Rogers and Opal Rogers (Staley); her husband Robert L. Backous, Sr.; and her siblings, Jim Rogers, William Rogers and Hazel Disbrowe.
She is survived by: her children, Robert Backous, Jr. (Jeannie) of Boone, Harold Backous (Lori) of Boone, Janie Davidson (Bill), Sharon Braland (Rick) of Ogden and Diane Braland (Steve) of Story City. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
