She was predeceased by: her parents, Les Portwood and Pat Portwood (Schneider); her husband Tim Johnson; her son Joseph Michael; her brother Jim Portwood; her sister-in-law Brenda Portwood; and her pet Blackie Lu.
She is survived by: her grandchildren, Kyle Morgan (Alissa) and Kortney Morgan; her great grandchild Eleanor Morgan; her siblings, Mike Portwood of Minneapolis, MN, Phil Portwood of Neligh, NE, Joe Portwood (Joann) of Harlan and Janann Beaubien (Steve) of Sioux Falls, SD; her sister-in-law Kate Portwood of Creston; and also, Troy Johnson of Norfolk, NE and Lisa Porter (Rick Miller) of Boone. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
