With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Edmund Heldt of Boone, Iowa, born in Ogden, Iowa, who passed away on May 16, 2024 at the age of 93. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Edmund Heldt to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parent Ferne Heldt (Richards); his sister Gywnn Stumpenhorst; and his brother-in-law Chuck Stumpenhorst. He is survived by: his wife Valenette Heldt of Boone, IA; his sons, Mike Heldt (Lynda) and Rick Heldt (Teresa) of Boone, IA; his grandchildren, Megan Buckley (Joshua), Chelsea Schramski (Dan) and Adam Heldt (Mel); and his stepgrandchildren, Alyssa Leigh (Paul), Amanda Johnson (Mat), Katlyn Hunt (Josh), Justin Sleeth (Abby), Jacob Sleeth (Laura) and Jayde Achenbach (Michael). He is also survived by seven great-grandsons, and 21 step-great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Trinity Lutheran Church in Boone or Israel Family Hospice House in Ames.
