Berntsen (Boone, Iowa), born in Des Moines, Iowa, who passed away on September 18, 2020, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Martin Berntsen and Mariam Berntsen; his wife Shirley; his daughters, Belinda and Sharleen; and his sister Francine.
He is survived by: his daughters, Deborah Fritcher (Joe), Diana Berntsen, Cynthia Poonamallee (Uday) and Jennifer Berntsen; and his sister Pat Miller (John) of Marion, IA.. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be directed to the Alzheimer's Association.
